Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to lead a science department
• Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Psychology
• Ability to engage pupils of all abilities and foster curiosity
• Proven ability to contribute to curriculum development and teaching strategies

Responsibilities

• General organisation of the subject in the school, including curriculum development and resources.
• Advise students and parents on academic matters, including subject choices and university courses.
• Monitor examination candidates and development targets with the Head of Science.
• Report to the Head of Science on department matters.
• Support teaching in Biology and appraisal of colleagues as required.
• Promote the school's safeguarding, health and safety policies and procedures.
