Job summary

FP McCann Ltd. is seeking a Design Office Supervisor to lead a BIM team detailing bespoke structural frames and precast concrete solutions. You will help develop fully coordinated 3D models, fabrication drawings and schedules, ensuring buildability, Eurocode compliance and project standards.

The role focuses on mentoring BIM technicians, maintaining quality, schedule and safety. Strong leadership and Tekla Structures proficiency are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in the design, detailing and technical requirements of precast concrete products.
• Proven background supervising BIM technicians in an office setting.
• Thorough understanding of structural drafting principles and BIM workflows.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise competing project demands.

Responsibilities

• Direct, mentor, and allocate work to a team of BIM technicians, supporting professional development.
• Review and approve precast concrete models and production drawings for accuracy and structural integrity.
• Schedule team workloads to align with milestones, manufacturing deadlines and delivery timelines.
• Act as the link between design office, manufacturing facilities and site management to resolve queries.
• Maintain and elevate BIM standards, drafting protocols and software workflows.
