Job summary

Capgemini Engineering UK is seeking an experienced Export/Global Trade Compliance SME to guide bids and project delivery. You will manage export classification, licensing, and compliance across UK/EU and US requirements, engaging senior stakeholders and enabling compliant, efficient execution of complex IT and engineering services.

The role emphasizes governance, lifecycle compliance, and risk management in a dynamic, hybrid-capable work environment with access to digital learning and diversity

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in export control / compliance.
• Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and customer leadership teams.
• Experience supporting bids and service delivery lifecycle activities.
• Experience in large-scale IT services or engineering services is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Global trade governance: Support Global Trade activities and ensure compliance with UK export controls and applicable US EAR/ITAR requirements.
• Classification and risk assessment of contract deliverables and export-control risks across bid, contract, and delivery lifecycle.
• Compliance planning: Create, implement, maintain, and improve Export and Technology Compliance Plans.
• Licensing and authorisations: Prepare and manage export licences, UK licences, and US sub-licensing, ensuring records meet requirements.

The CCM / Export SME is responsible for ensuring the delivery and commercial risks are understood with specific responsibility for assessment and management of export compliance.The role provides expert input to bids and delivery on export risks, export licensing requirements and compliance management. The SME will manage all ERD UK licences and be accountable for reporting and audit against these licence.
