Job summary

Transition Partners LTD is partnering with an award-winning organisation to advance its BI capability. The Lead BI Analyst will shape BI tooling, set technical standards and turn data into timely insights to support decision-making.

You’ll lead technical delivery, influence strategic data initiatives and mentor colleagues, while driving governance across Power BI, QlikView and Business Objects and delivering high-quality dashboards and reports across the business.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in BI, data, analytics or related field.
• Strong BI experience, governance and modern reporting practices.
• Proven ability to design solutions across the full BI lifecycle.

The Opportunity

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical BI expertise with the confidence to engage stakeholders and lead by example. You'll be responsible for ensuring robust governance, best practice and technical excellence across a range of BI platforms, while delivering high-quality reporting solutions that drive real business value.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys working across the full BI lifecycle, from gathering requirements and designing solutions through to delivery, user training and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and shape the organisation's BI tooling, ensuring robust governance, best practice and technical excellence across Power BI, QlikView and Business Objects.
• Design, develop and deliver high-quality dashboards, reports and data solutions.
• Work closely with Business Reporting, Data Engineering and business stakeholders to deliver effective reporting solutions.
• Drive self-service analytics and support data-driven decision-making across the business.
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and train end users.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of BI capability, focusing on technical standards, data quality and innovation.
• Influence strategic data initiatives and lead technical delivery.
• Mentor colleagues and help build a culture of learning and knowledge sharing.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in Business Intelligence, reporting or data warehousing environments.
• Strong knowledge of BI solution architecture and modern reporting best practices.
• Strong Power BI, SQL and DAX skills.
• Experience with other BI tools such as Business Objects, QlikView or SSRS would be advantageous.
• A collaborative approach and the confidence to engage with stakeholders, gather requirements and build strong relationships across technical and business teams.
• An organised, analytical and thoughtful way of working, with the ability to manage priorities and work to deadlines.
• A naturally inquisitive, data-driven mindset with the adaptability and accountability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• A degree-level qualification or equivalent industry experience in Business Intelligence, data, analytics or a related field.
