Job summary

Nightshade in Cardiff is seeking a Head Bartender to lead from the front, drive the team and elevate the guest experience with exceptional drinks and service. The role is full time (37.5 hours per week) with a base salary up to £26,500 plus a competitive share of Tronc, averaging £9,633–£10,140 per year, bringing total earnings to over £36,133.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Bartender or Head Bartender in a high-quality hospitality environment.
• Passion for cocktails and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, mixing, garnishing and service.

Responsibilities

• Lead the bar team from the front, maintaining energy, professionalism and service.
• Drive morale and create an engaging environment for high performance.
• Deliver an exceptional guest experience with warm, knowledgeable service.
• Develop bar specials, drinks menus and events to elevate sales.
• Train, coach and develop bar staff and supervise stock levels.
• Support opening/closing duties and ensure cleanliness and organisation.
• Comply with licensing, health and safety regulations.
