Job summary

Soho House & Co. is seeking a Head Bartender to oversee day-to-day beverage service, lead by example, and deliver a refined guest experience for our members. Working with the Bar Manager, you will mentor staff, develop menus, and ensure stock and cleanliness standards are met.

You will train junior team members, design seasonal drinks with strong product knowledge, and uphold the club’s elevated service culture across all dining and bar experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of bar experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, wines and spirits.
• Experience in luxury, private members club or high-end hospitality environments.
• Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
• Clear communication and confidence under pressure.
• Personal License or willingness to obtain one (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead bar operations during service, ensuring the bar is fully set, clean, and running smoothly.
• Deliver consistent, high-quality beverage service, including cocktails, wines, and spirits.
• Mentor, train, and support bar staff with strong product knowledge.
• Collaborate with Bar Manager to design seasonal drinks menus, specials, and events.
• Ensure compliance with licensing laws, hygiene regulations, and health & safety standards.
• Maintain knowledge of products, suppliers, and trends to keep the drinks offering engaging.
• Accurately manage stock levels during service and report shortages or wastage.
• Resolve guest issues promptly and professionally, ensuring guests feel valued.
• Work with floor, kitchen, and events teams for seamless service.
• Uphold the brand and ethos of the club through professional conduct, grooming, and performance.
