Job summary

Soho House in London is seeking a Head Bartender to oversee daily beverage service and maintain high presentation standards for members and guests. You will lead by example, leveraging top mixology skills and extensive product knowledge.

You will train junior staff, manage stock and cleanliness, and help develop innovative beverage menus while upholding the club’s elevated service culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years bar experience with at least 1 year in a senior or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, wines and spirits.
• Experience in luxury, private members clubs or high-end hospitality.
• Excellent leadership and mentoring abilities; clear communication under pressure.
• Knowledge of licensing laws, hygiene and safety; Personal License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead bar operations during service, ensuring a fully set, clean and smooth-running bar.
• Deliver high-quality beverage service including cocktails, wines and premium spirits.
• Mentor and train bar staff; maintain product knowledge and service standards.
• Collaborate with Bar Manager to design seasonal drinks menus and events.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, hygiene and safety regulations.
• Manage stock levels, assist with stock takes and report waste or shortfalls.
• Resolve guest issues promptly; uphold club branding and guest experience.
• Coordinate with floor, kitchen and events teams for seamless service.
