Job summary

Synapri in London is looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join a fast-growing software business in the Investment Management space. You will take the lead on new projects from initial research and technical planning through to architecture, development and final deployment.

This role will suit a Python Software Engineer who enjoys collaborating with a small team to solve problems and bring technically-led ideas to life.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience developing software with Python.
• Strong experience with Django and modern web application development.
• Good understanding of the full product development lifecycle, from discovery and planning through deployment and ongoing improvement.
• Strong software architecture and design skills, with an appreciation for writing clean, maintainable and scalable code.
• Experience working across different layers of an application, with an interest in infrastructure and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead on new projects from the earliest stages of research and technical planning through architecture, development and final deployment.
• Influence technology direction and product strategy within a small team.
