Job summary

Synapri in London is looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join a fast-growing software business in the Investment Management space. You will take the lead on new projects from initial research and technical planning through to architecture, development and final deployment.

This role will suit a Python Software Engineer who enjoys collaborating with a small team to solve problems and bring technically-led ideas to life.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience developing software with Python.
• Strong experience with Django and modern web application development.
• Good understanding of the full product development lifecycle, from discovery and planning through deployment and ongoing improvement.
• Strong software architecture and design skills, with an appreciation for writing clean, maintainable and scalable code.
• Experience working across different layers of an application, with an interest in infrastructure and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead on new projects from the earliest stages of research and technical planning through architecture, development and final deployment.

Synapri are working with an exciting Software business operating within the Investment Management space looking for an experiencedSenior Backend Engineerto join their growing team on a permanent basis.

As the company develop a new suite of products, you’ll have the opportunity to take the lead on new projects from the earliest stages ofresearch and technical planning through to architecture, development and final deployment. This is a role where you can have a meaningful influence on both the technology and the direction of the products they build.

Location: Onsite/Hybrid in central London

Salary: up to £100,000 (DOE)

You should have:

• 5+ years of professional experience developing software with Python
• Strong experience withDjangoand modern web application development
• A good understanding of thefull product development lifecycle, from discovery and planning through to deployment and ongoing improvement
• Strong software architecture and design skills, with an appreciation for writing clean, maintainable and scalable code

• A confident, positive communication style and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across different disciplines.
