Job summary

J.P. Morgan Personal Investing is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join the Backend Engineering Platform. You will design and maintain Spring Boot based frameworks that empower product teams to build scalable financial services.

In this hands-on role, you will deliver architectural guidance, mentor engineers, and collaborate with SDLC and Infrastructure to promote standardization and best practices across the Investments technology landscape.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing APIs in microservice architectures.
• Experience with SDLC standardisation and build tools.
• Ability to mentor and manage stakeholders.
• Understanding of regulated environments and controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend frameworks and libraries using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build components that implement functional and non-functional requirements out-of-the-box.
• Collaborate with product engineering teams to improve productivity and engineering experience.
• Tackle complex technical challenges and guide the team with strategic solutions.
• Collaborate with SDLC and Infrastructure teams to enable Platform as a Product.
