Job summary

Cierti is seeking an exceptional Lead Engineer to shape enterprise systems and integrations from London. This hands-on leadership role focuses on architectural ownership while delivering scalable backend platforms, AI-enabled tooling, and modern integrations.

You will mentor engineers across Python and .NET, set standards, and drive CI/CD excellence. You will collaborate with Product, QA and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust solutions, balancing delivery with long-term strategy

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Lead Engineer, Principal Engineer or Senior Engineering role.
• Deep hands-on expertise in Python and/or .NET.
• Strong background in backend engineering, APIs, integrations and event-driven architectures.
• Experience designing and building solutions across ERP platforms, ideally Dynamics 365.
• Strong SQL and data modelling expertise.
• Cloud experience across AWS and/or Azure.
• Practical DevOps knowledge including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
• Ability to balance short-term delivery with long-term architectural strategy.
• Experience using modern AI coding tools to enhance software development.

Responsibilities

• Leading the design and development of backend services and integration platforms.
• Owning architecture across Microsoft Dynamics 365, internal systems, and third-party SaaS applications.
• Writing production-grade code and setting engineering standards.
• Mentoring and supporting engineers across Python and .NET ecosystems.
• Driving best practice across code quality, testing, CI/CD and technical delivery.
• Working closely with Product, QA and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Championing the practical and responsible use of AI development tools to improve engineering velocity and quality.
• Making key architectural decisions that support business growth and operational excellence.
