Job summary

Data Idols is seeking a Backend Senior Software Engineer in London to shape architecture and drive scalability of a cloud-native AI platform used by enterprise clients globally. This hybrid role offers influence over technical direction, engineering standards and product decisions.

You'll own key backend components from design through deployment, optimize performance and reliability, and collaborate with product and engineering leadership to define long-term roadmaps and best practices.

Qualifications

• Backend experience developing scalable backend software in cloud environments.
• Proficient in Python and at least one of Java/Go/Kotlin/C++.
• Experience with TypeScript.
• Experience with AWS or GCP.
• CI/CD and modern engineering practices.
• Designing distributed systems and enterprise-grade apps.

Responsibilities

• Own backend components from design to deployment and support.
• Design, build and scale cloud-native backend services.
• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership on roadmaps.
• Improve processes, testing, deployment and monitoring.
