Job summary

Matchtech's client, a leading aerospace MRO, seeks a B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineer for a permanent role in Bournemouth. You will support safe, compliant aircraft maintenance across the main base and detached UK and overseas locations.

You must hold an unrestricted CAA Part 66 B2 licence, have experience in regulated aerospace maintenance, supervise teams, ensure compliance, and contribute to safety and continuous improvement. Willingness to travel and work shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted CAA Part 66 B2 licence.
• Experience in aircraft maintenance in aerospace MRO or regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to supervise and motivate engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Safety-focused with commitment to continuous improvement.
• Willingness to travel for detached operations and to work shifts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance across all Part-145 and A8-23 activities.
• Certify aircraft maintenance and supervise aircraft ground movements.
• Support aircraft operations at base and detached locations, including overseas assignments.
• Maintain accurate, timely and compliant maintenance documentation.
• Coordinate engineering tasks to meet operational targets and budgets.
• Support the Crew Chief and deputise when required.
• Mentor engineering team members and promote leadership standards.
• Promote Safety, Health and Environment initiatives and continuous improvement.
