Job summary

A leading aviation organisation in Bournemouth is searching for experienced B1 and B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineers to join their Aircraft Maintenance team. This role involves ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and effective delivery of aircraft maintenance across various locations. Candidates should possess a valid UK CAA Part 66 Licence and have at least five years of experience in an aircraft maintenance environment. Flexibility to work shifts and relocate is essential.

  • Ensure timely completion of maintenance documentation.
  • Coordinate tasks to meet timelines.
  • Assist Crew Chief with prioritisation and scheduling.
  • Provide technical guidance to the team.
  • Promote Just Culture and safety reporting.
  • Maintain personal authorisations and recency.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and efficiency.
  • Deputise for Crew Chief when required.

We are a recruitment partner supporting a leading aviation organisation in the search for experienced B1 and B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineers to join their Aircraft Maintenance team based in Bournemouth.

This position operates within a highly regulated Part-145 environment, supporting aircraft maintenance activities critical to operational and contractual delivery.

Working Pattern

Week-about shift rotation:

  • Early Shift: Monday to Friday, 06:30 – 14:00
  • Late Shift: Monday to Thursday, 13:00 – 22:30; Friday, 13:00 – 21:15

Flexibility is required to work additional hours and support deployments within the UK and overseas.

Role Purpose

Reporting to the Crew Chief, the Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B1 & B2) is responsible for supporting the safe, compliant, and effective delivery of all Part-145/A8-23 aircraft maintenance activities across the main operating base and deployed locations.

The role requires a strong focus on safety, regulatory compliance, and operational performance, alongside supporting team development and engineering decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Crew Chief with task prioritisation, scheduling, and daily team management
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members
  • Promote a Just Culture and encourage safety reporting
  • Maintain personal authorisations, ensuring ongoing compliance and recency
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency
  • Deputise for the Crew Chief when required
Key Requirements
