Job summary

Our Client in Cardiff, UK is seeking an experienced B1/B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to support Base Maintenance and ensure compliance with Part 145. You will lead Technicians and Mechanics, supervise tasks, and drive defect rectification and modifications.

The role requires 5+ years in aircraft maintenance, 3+ years in Base Maintenance, and an AML (UK CAA / EASA). Seasonal shift options and a competitive package are on offer.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' aircraft maintenance experience, with 3+ years in Base Maintenance.
• Ability to use recognised aircraft documentation.
• Broad skillset in aircraft systems: rigging, component replacement, modifications.
• Good structural assessment and repair knowledge.
• In-depth knowledge of aircraft systems required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Technicians and Mechanics in Base Maintenance checks.
• Ensure accurate paperwork and forms per MOE and procedures.
• Keep management informed of maintenance requirements and issues.
• Ensure timely completion of maintenance documentation.
• Manage task timings and bookings on task cards.
• Ensure proper storage of aircraft components and labeling.
• Maintain standards of hangar practices and prevent FOD.
• Suggest improvements for efficiency and morale.
• Perform other duties as required by the business.
