Job summary

Arden White Aerospace Recruitment are partnering with a leading aviation maintenance organisation to recruit experienced B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineers for their Base Maintenance operation. You will take responsibility for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, lead Technicians and Mechanics, and ensure tasks are completed in line with Part 145 and customer requirements.

This permanent role in St Athan offers a generous total package and seasonal shift patterns, with company funded type training

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
• Minimum 3 years of Base Maintenance experience.
• Ability to use recognised aircraft maintenance documentation.
• Broad knowledge of aircraft systems.
• Experience with rigging, component replacement and modification embodiment.
• Good structural assessment and repair knowledge.
• Strong defect investigation and rectification capability.
• In depth knowledge of aircraft systems.
• Ability to lead and supervise Technicians and Mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Carry out aircraft maintenance and inspections in accordance with approved procedures.
• Lead Technicians and Mechanics throughout Base Maintenance checks.
• Carry out defect investigation and rectification.
• Support aircraft repair, overhaul and modification activities.
• Troubleshoot aircraft systems and resolve technical defects.
• Carry out rigging, component replacement and modification embodiment.
• Ensure maintenance documentation and task cards are completed accurately and on time.
• Ensure correct timings and bookings are recorded against maintenance tasks.
• Keep Production Planning and Management informed of maintenance requirements and potential issues.
• Ensure aircraft components are correctly stored, labelled and controlled.
• Maintain high engineering and housekeeping standards throughout the hangar.
• Maintain effective FOD prevention practices.
• Supervise, mentor and support engineering personnel.
• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance practices and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with Part 145 requirements, company procedures and Health & Safety standards.]
