Job summary

Harnham - Data and Analytics Recruitment seeks a Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS) to design, build, and secure scalable AWS infrastructure within a hybrid Abingdon setting. You will define governance, establish Landing Zones, and drive IaC via Terraform while maturing multi-cloud capabilities across Azure and AWS.

You will lead technical initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into cloud solutions, enabling strategic cloud, data and AI

Qualifications

• Hands-on AWS engineering and architecture experience.
• Terraform and IaC expertise.
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking, security and automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and support scalable, secure and resilient AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Establish AWS best practices, governance frameworks and engineering standards.
• Build AWS Landing Zones and help shape a greenfield AWS capability.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform and drive automation initiatives.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to improve cloud delivery and operational efficiency.
• Partner closely with Azure engineers to support a collaborative multi-cloud environment.
• Act as the AWS Subject Matter Expert, providing technical leadership and mentoring junior engineers.
• Engage with a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating business requirements into cloud solutions.
