Job summary

Vantage Consulting Limited is seeking a Lead AVEVA PI Engineer to lead the design and delivery of AVEVA PI projects across client engagements. The role combines hands-on engineering with project leadership, consultancy and commercial input, and offers hybrid working from Coventry or Warrington.

You will mentor engineers, own technical solutions from conception to handover, and help grow the team's AVEVA capability while progressing toward a Technical Authority.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on AVEVA PI expertise with ownership of projects.
• Experience designing PI solutions from scratch.
• Understanding of PI architecture and system fundamentals.
• Experience with AVEVA licensing and licence modelling.
• Exposure to AVEVA System Platform and OMI.
• Experience leading or taking technical ownership of projects.
• Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
• Commercial awareness with tenders and proposals.
• Proactive, self-starting approach; mentoring interest.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of AVEVA PI projects.
• Develop PI solutions from architecture to implementation.
• Provide technical leadership across projects.
• Produce system designs, specifications, and docs.
• Support tendering, proposals, and consultancy activities.
• Advise on AVEVA licensing and AVEVA Flex.
• Support System Platform and OMI.
• Collaborate with customers to define technical solutions.
• Mentor engineers and grow the technical capability.
• Progress toward becoming a Technical Authority.
