Job summary

Spotlight Sound in Chelmsford, Essex, is looking for an Audio Visual Project Manager to own installation projects from inquiry to completion. You will visit sites, specify solutions, prepare quotes, and coordinate engineers and suppliers.

This role requires av installation expertise, client communication, and travel to client sites. The position is office-based with travel, full-time, Monday to Friday, with a salary of £45,000 to £55,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Strong AV installation experience across commercial, education, worship, theatre, hospitality environments.
• Experience managing AV installation projects from survey through to delivery and handover.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage installation enquiries from initial contact through to completion.
• Carry out site visits and surveys across client venues.
• Understand client requirements and translate them into practical AV solutions.
• Specify suitable systems across sound, lighting, video, control and cabling.
• Prepare accurate quotes and proposals using internal pricing structures.
• Coordinate installation works with engineers, suppliers and clients.
• Prepare project paperwork including RAMS and handover information.
• Act as the main client contact during the project, maintaining professional communication.
• Track progress, cost and quality to ensure on-time delivery and profitability.
• Support engineers with technical queries before and during installation.
• Close projects with final handover and documentation.
