Job summary

EY is recruiting for an Audit Senior Manager in Scotland (Edinburgh/Glasgow) to lead complex external UK audits, manage multi-disciplinary teams, and deliver high-quality assurance services for a diverse client base. You will drive risk assessment, audit planning, and stakeholder communication while ensuring regulatory compliance and excellence.

This role requires full qualification as a chartered accountant (ACA/ACCA/ICAS/ICAEW), strong leadership, and deep knowledge of IFRS/UK GAAP.

Qualifications

• Experience planning, leading and delivering major external UK audit engagements (e.g. FTSE 100).
• Excellent technical expertise with IFRS and UK GAAP.
• Strong project management and stakeholder accountability.
• Leadership experience supervising multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex external UK audit engagements in line with EY methodologies and standards.
• Build and nurture client relationships, delivering professional advice throughout audits.
• Understand client ambitions and provide value-added insights to improve their business and compliance.
• Manage multi-disciplinary teams, resolve challenges, and ensure smooth audit delivery.
• Identify and resolve complex technical accounting matters with colleagues.
