Job summary

EY UKI Assurance is hiring Audit Senior Manager roles across Scotland, including Edinburgh and Glasgow. You will lead large external UK audits and shape assurance strategies within a global, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• >> Experience planning, leading and delivering major external UK audit engagements (e.g. FTSE 100) in a senior managerial capacity.
• > Fully qualified as a chartered accountant (ACA/ACCA/CA/ICAS/ICAEW).
• > Excellent technical expertise with IFRS and UK GAAP.
• > Significant experience executing audits and assurance engagements per UK standards.
• > Exceptional project management and stakeholder accountability.
• > Strong people management and coaching abilities.
• > Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• > Evidence of managing multi-disciplinary teams effectively.
• > Ambition to lead complex client relationships and teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex external UK audit engagements in line with firm methodologies and standards.
• Build and nurture client relationships and provide authoritative professional guidance.
• Understand client ambitions, delivering value through insights and solutions.
• Manage multi-disciplinary teams and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Address complex technical accounting issues and engage with specialists as needed.
• Adopt new audit tools to enhance efficiency and quality of audits.
• Coach and develop junior team members across the performance year.
• Identify staffing, development and resourcing needs.
• Stay abreast of market trends to inform client strategies.
