Responsibilities

• Assist the Farm Manager in the overall management and smooth running of the broiler unit
• Monitor bird health, welfare, and performance, taking prompt action where required
• Oversee feed, water, ventilation, and environmental systems to optimise growth conditions
• Manage and supervise farm staff
• Maintain accurate records including flock performance, mortality, medication, and feed usage
• Ensure full compliance with farm assurance schemes, biosecurity protocols, and health & safety regulations
• Carry out regular farm inspections and report any issues to the Farm Manager
• Step up to manage the farm in the absence of the Farm Manager
