Job summary

State Street is seeking a lead software engineer in London to drive the evolution of our Markets Research technology platform. The role focuses on modern, client-facing web applications, cloud-native architecture, and Generative UI/UX capabilities that empower AI-enabled insights for clients.

You will collaborate with business, research, product, and engineering teams to design and deliver scalable solutions that enhance client experience and operational efficiency across the Global Markets

Qualifications

10+ years of hands-on software engineering with strong system design and delivery track record.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
AWS Solutions Architect Certificate is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture, design, and delivery of modern client-facing research platforms.
Drive transformation toward cloud-native, scalable, interactive experiences.
Champion Generative UI/UX patterns for dynamic research delivery.
Design end-to-end solutions across frontend, backend, and data/analytics.
Translate business requirements into robust, scalable architectures.
Collaborate with stakeholders to shape innovative client-centric solutions.
Provide technical leadership to global engineering teams; enforce design, performance, maintainability.
Advance DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native development; guide production operations.
