Job summary

State Street is seeking an experienced Senior UI Architect to lead the design, governance, and evolution of front-end platforms and digital user experiences. You will define UI architecture standards, drive technical strategy, and guide engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, accessible, and high-performing web applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with significant front-end focus.
• 5+ years in an architecture or technical leadership role.
• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale web platforms and digital experiences.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the enterprise UI architecture vision, roadmap, and standards.
• Design scalable front-end architectures for customer-facing and internal digital platforms.
• Establish architecture principles, coding standards, design patterns, and best practices.
• Lead technical decision-making for front-end frameworks, state management, API integration, and deployment strategies.
• Drive the adoption of modern web technologies and composable architecture patterns.
