Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking an experienced Approved Electrician to join the Temporary Site Services team for the Lower Thames Crossing project. The role combines hands-on electrical duties with supervisory responsibilities to deliver temporary installations safely and efficiently.

You will plan, coordinate and oversee direct labour and subcontractors, ensuring works align with the Electrical Safe Systems of Work. Strong health & safety focus and Right First Time performance are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with temporary electrical installations.
• Ability to supervise direct labour and subcontractors.
• Current driving licence and ECS Card.
• SMSTS qualification or equivalent is desirable.
• Knowledge of health & safety legislation and safe systems of work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties in accordance with Electrical Safe Systems of Work.
• Supervise and coordinate temporary electrical installation works.
• Manage and coordinate direct labour and subcontractors, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
• Plan upcoming activities with project leads and ensure readiness for delivery.
• Deliver toolbox talks and workforce briefings to promote safety and standards.
• Maintain accurate records and monitor progress against KPIs and milestones.
