Job summary

Forest High School is seeking an exceptional Alternative Provision Lead to co‑lead our Inclusion Team and manage the day‑to‑day operation of the AP (Isolation Room). The role focuses on creating a calm, structured learning environment, supporting reintegration into mainstream lessons and coordinating detention and mentoring sessions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the school's Alternative Provision (Isolation Room)
• Create and maintain a calm, structured and highly effective learning environment.
• Coordinate and oversee the school's detention system.
• Support students in reflecting on their behaviour and making positive choices.
• Facilitate successful reintegration into mainstream lessons.
• Identify and respond to behavioural, pastoral, attendance and SEND concerns.
• Work closely with Heads of Year, tutors, teachers, the SENCo and senior leaders.
• Maintain accurate records of student placements, interventions and outcomes.
• Coordinate restorative conversations and behaviour mentoring.
• Support students' academic engagement while attending Alternative Provision.
• Act as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, supporting the school's safeguarding systems and culture.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of behaviour and inclusion systems across the school.
