Job summary

Thatcher Associates in the UK seeks a Lead Air Conditioning Engineer to head installation and commissioning of split, multi-split and VRF systems across projects in Hampshire and beyond. You will lead on site, work from drawings and specifications, and supervise junior engineers and labour.

This role involves travel across the UK and occasional abroad, and is installation-focused rather than maintenance. You would bring an NVQ Level 3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning with F-Gas Category I,

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning is required.
• F-Gas Category I is required.
• At least three years since qualifying on split, multi-split and VRF or VRV installations.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Eligible for SC clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead installations and commissioning of air conditioning systems from drawings and specifications.
• Install, commission, and hand over split, multi-split and VRF/VRV systems.
• Lead junior engineers and labour on site; manage onsite activities.

Would you like to lead installations rather than chase breakdowns? Ready to run your own sites and bring junior engineers on? Happy to travel across the UK, and abroad now and then?

You would be the lead engineer on air conditioning installations for an established building services contractor in Hampshire: working from drawings and specifications, installing and commissioning split, multi-split and VRF systems, and leading the junior engineers and labour on your sites. This is installation and commissioning work, not maintenance or service.

You'll need

• NVQ Level 3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, and F-Gas Category I
• At least three years since qualifying, on split, multi-split and VRF or VRV installations
• Experience leading junior engineers on site
• A full UK driving licence
• Eligible for SC clearance
