Job summary

Audi Revolut F1 Team is seeking a senior aerodynamicist based at the Audi Motorsport Technology Centre UK in Bicester. The role leads a team of concept aerodynamicists, driving aero development from concept to validated solutions with CFD and wind tunnel methods.

You will guide technical decisions, collaborate across aero teams, and mentor less experienced engineers to strengthen the department’s capability, reporting to the Chief Aerodynamicist – Concept in Hinwil.

Qualifications

• Degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering with a strong focus on aerodynamics or fluid mechanics.
• Demonstrated experience in race car aerodynamic development across multiple vehicle areas.
• Proven ability to generate, evaluate and mature aerodynamic concepts from ideas to validated solutions.
• Good understanding of CFD methodologies, wind tunnel testing techniques and aerodynamic validation processes.
• Proficiency with aerodynamic analysis tools and CAD environments, preferably CATIA 3DX.

Responsibilities

• Lead a UK team of concept aerodynamicists working with the Hinwil Aero Concept team.
• Drive aerodynamic development from concept generation to validation using numerical and experimental methods.
• Identify and mature innovative aerodynamic concepts to improve car performance.
• Support technical decision-making with development experience and trade-off analysis.
• Collaborate with CFD engineers, aerodynamic designers and researchers to translate ideas into robust solutions.
• Analyse CFD and wind tunnel results to guide future development directions.
• Mentor and coach junior aerodynamicists to strengthen technical capability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of aerodynamic methodologies, tools and processes.
