Job summary

Audi Revolut F1 Team based at the Audi Motorsport Technology Centre UK in Bicester seeks a lead aerodynamicist. You will head a UK team of concept aerodynamicists, working with the Hinwil Aero Concept team to develop and validate aerodynamic solutions for the race car.

The role focuses on building mature concepts from initial ideas, using CFD and wind tunnel results to guide development and improve performance, while mentoring junior engineers and strengthening technical capability within the

Qualifications

Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline with strong focus on aerodynamics/fluids.
Demonstrated experience in race car aerodynamic development across multiple vehicle areas.
Proven ability to generate, evaluate and mature aerodynamic concepts from idea to validated solutions.
Good understanding of CFD, wind tunnel testing, and validation processes.
Proficiency with aerodynamic analysis tools and CAD environments (CATIA 3DX preferred).
Strong analytic, creative and problem-solving skills; able to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
Willingness to coach and mentor junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of concept aerodynamicists in the UK, collaborating with Hinwil Aero Concept team.
Drive aerodynamic development from concept to validation using numerical and experimental methods.
Identify, develop and mature innovative aerodynamic concepts to improve overall car performance.
Assess opportunities, understand trade-offs, and support technical decisions.
