Job summary

NATS Ltd is seeking an Adaptation Specialist to support development and testing activities within the Integration & Adaptation (I&A) department. The role reports to an Adaptation Team Leader and participates in agile working arrangements, with opportunities to work in our offices or remotely across the UK.

The successful candidate will capture requirements, design adaptations, and provide clear documentation while mentoring junior staff and maintaining strong customer focus.

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline and relevant engineering experience.
• Experience with large real-time systems, preferably safety-related or ATM.
• Good working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Desirable familiarity with Linux or Visual Basic.

Responsibilities

• Capture and assess requirements for adaptations and produce design/test documentation.
• Design and implement adaptation solutions for development and test activities.
• Provide estimates and coordinate work, acting as focal point for systems.
• Mentor junior team members and maintain high customer service.
• Attend meetings with stakeholders and ensure adherence to I&A processes.
