Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Consultant in Acute Medicine to lead a multidisciplinary team at Yeovil District Hospital. The role offers an innovative annualised job plan, dedicated time for specialist interests, and generous relocation support (T&Cs apply).

Formación

• MBBS and MRCP or equivalent is required.
• Full GMC Registration with a license to practice.
• Entry on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT.

Responsabilidades

• Clinical Leadership across AMU, SDEC and ED; manage clinical take, rounds, referrals and timely discharges.
• Service development: shape protocols and patient pathways; strengthen links with community services.
• On-call duties: participate in GIM rota (1 in 16 weekends per year).
• Education & mentorship: support postgraduate doctors and medical students.
• Specialist interest: dedicated PAs to your chosen specialty.
• Research & Audit: engage in audits and quality improvement.
• Governance & teamwork: uphold GMC standards and multidisciplinary collaboration.
