Qualifications

• MRCP or equivalent Full Registration with the GMC.
• Higher Degree.

Responsibilities

• Rolling rota with 7 day cover for the Medical Short Stay (MSS) unit and daily ward rounds for MAU and post take rounds.
• Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) area is a key front door service with consultant oversight and guidance.
• MAU has target length of stay up to 12–24 hours for initial assessment and management of acutely ill medical patients.
• MSS provides consultant-led ward rounds and MDT care for patients needing 1–2 nights in hospital.
