Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant in Acute Medicine to join a 12-strong team providing care across a 42-bedded AMU, SDEC and ED in-reach with a 1:8 weekend commitment. The role offers a 10 PA plan with 8 Direct Clinical Care and 2 Supporting Professional Activities, and opportunities for teaching, audit and service development.

The successful candidate will contribute to robust clinical governance, postgraduate education, and professional development while benefiting

Qualifications

• MRCP (UK) required.
• CCT (or equivalent) in Acute internal medicine or within 6 months of achievement.
• Full GMC registration required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality acute care in AMU with evidence-based guidelines.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams to drive patient flow and efficient care.
• Participate in medical teaching, appraisal of junior staff and CME activities.
• Contribute to service development and governance within Acute Medicine.
• Support senior leadership and strategic service development.
