Job summary

Enva Group in Immingham is seeking a General Operator to join our Operations team. You will be responsible for processing waste materials via designated machinery to produce a recyclable product, working in a fast-paced environment with a team of five.

The role requires adherence to H&S, environmental compliance, PPE, and willingness to perform manual handling and forklift tasks, with shift-based work and weekend possibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience with high standard of Health & Safety practices.
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and machinery operations.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team under pressure.
• Strong conflict resolution skills and a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety of self and colleagues at all times.
• Meet environmental compliance and waste licensing requirements.
• Operate and monitor machinery used to process lead-acid batteries.
• Perform manual lifting of heavy battery units following safety protocols.
• Follow start-up and shutdown procedures for all equipment.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
• Process waste and operate machinery per training and procedures.
• Wear the required PPE at all times.
• Operate forklift per training and procedures.
• Perform general site maintenance and complete required paperwork.
• Undertake any other duties as required.
