Job summary

Brandon Trust in Penryn, Cornwall, is seeking a Team Leader to provide visible and supportive leadership for a home-based Supported Living team. You will guide and develop Support Workers, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care while promoting independence and choice for individuals with learning disabilities and autism.

The role requires flexible, hands-on leadership across a 24/7 service. This full-time position offers 37.5 hours per week, with an hourly rate of £16.33–£17.31.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in social care settings.
• Ability to motivate and develop support staff.
• Strong communication and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the team to provide outstanding, person-centred support
• Support people to live the lives they choose, with freedom, choice and independence
• Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision, coaching and guidance to Support Workers
• Support the Locality Manager with team development and performance
• Coordinate rotas and ensure safe and effective staffing levels
• Promote positive outcomes and help people achieve their goals
• Support safe medication practices and monitoring
• Maintain safeguarding, quality and compliance standards
• Ensure service delivery aligns with Brandon Trust policies and regulatory requirements
• Work flexibly alongside your team and provide hands-on support when needed
• Help colleagues develop skills, confidence and practice
