Responsibilities

  • Monitoring leachate levels and assessing leachate systems across landfill sites.
  • Carrying out on-site investigations using specialist environmental monitoring equipment.
  • Collecting and recording accurate environmental data.
  • Operating dip meters and CCTV systems to investigate leachate infrastructure.
  • Monitoring leachate tank levels through telemetry systems and escalating issues.
  • Producing reports and entering findings into company databases.
  • Supporting identification of environmental issues and developing remedial solutions.
  • Working with operations, environmental and site management teams.
  • Maintaining compliance with procedures and standards.
  • Working safely outdoors year-round in varying weather.

Job description

What will you be doing?
  • Monitoring leachate levels and assessing the condition of leachate systems across landfill sites
  • Carrying out on-site investigations using specialist environmental monitoring equipment
  • Collecting and recording accurate environmental data
  • Operating equipment such as dip meters and CCTV systems to investigate leachate infrastructure
  • Monitoring leachate tank levels through telemetry systems and escalating issues when required
  • Producing reports and entering investigation findings into company databases
  • Supporting the identification of environmental issues and helping to develop appropriate remedial solutions
  • Working closely with operational, environmental and site management teams
  • Maintaining compliance with company procedures and environmental standards
  • Working safely outdoors throughout the year in a variety of weather conditions
