Job summary

Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Registered Care Home Manager for Derby House, a six-bed home for women with learning disabilities and autism. The role leads a team of 16 support workers and ensures CQC compliance and high-quality, person-centred care.

The post requires a Diploma-level management qualification and at least five years in learning disability care, two in management, with rights to work in the UK for the duration of the role.

Qualifications

• Diploma level management qualification or equivalent.
• At least 5 years working with people with learning disabilities, including 2 years in management.
• Experience developing service user and carer involvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead relationship management, registration processes and project management of CQC action plans.
• Translate and implement the CQC strategy into Trust activities.
• Provide leadership to the six-bed residential care home.
• Lead and develop a team of 16 support workers, building a positive and inclusive culture.
• Deliver person-centred care that promotes independence, choice and positive experiences.
• Foster a culture where individuals take an active role in identifying, planning and meeting their needs.
• Enable staff to contribute, develop their skills and grow in independence.
• Mentor and supervise support workers.
• Take part in the recruitment, deployment and management of staff.
