Job summary

Purosearch Ltd seeks an experienced Care Home Manager or Learning Disabilities Service Manager for a learning disabilities and autism service in Luton. You will be the CQC-registered manager delivering safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led care.

Leading a skilled team, you will drive person-centred care planning, ensure regulatory compliance, manage audits and budgets, and participate in on-call duties to maintain service excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience as Learning Disabilities Service Manager, Registered Care Home Manager, or Learning Disabilities Care Home Manager.
• Strong understanding of complex needs, behaviours and person-centred care.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or working towards).
• Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations and safeguarding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership as the Registered Care Home Manager.
• Manage a committed team of care staff and support workers.
• Oversee personalised, person-centred care planning and delivery.
• Ensure full compliance with CQC standards and care regulations.
• Conduct audits, risk assessments, and quality assurance checks.
• Lead staff recruitment, onboarding, and professional development.
• Maintain positive relationships with families and external professionals.
• Manage budgets, resources, and medication systems.
• Participate in the on-call rota as required.
