Job summary

Volvo Group in Bellshill is seeking a skilled LCV Technician to service, repair and maintain vans, including EV and ICE models. You will join a tight-knit team in a modern workshop and work 42.5 hours per week with an 8:00am–5:00pm pattern (occasional Saturdays).

You should have Level 3 NVQ in Light or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, strong diagnostic skills, a full UK driving licence, and be prepared for ongoing training through our UK Training Academy.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or Level 3 NVQ in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Full, valid UK driving licence; an HGV licence is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and repairs to vans (EV and ICE).
• Diagnose faults using the latest diagnostic equipment.
• Prepare vehicles for MOTs and safety inspections.
• Maintain high standards in line with manufacturer and VOSA requirements.
• Communicate with Shift Supervisor on job specs and timing.
• Complete all required documentation and ensure processes are followed.

Hours: 42.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday (occasional Saturdays)
Salary: £16.50 and £18.00 per hour, depending on experience
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x hourly rate

We are expanding our Light Commercial Vehicle workshop team. You will be joining a close knit team of a Workshop Controller, two Technicians and an Apprentice.

You are a skilled and experienced technician with a background in servicing, repairing, and maintaining vans in a commercial vehicle environment.

You hold either:

A Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or a Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair

• You have strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, take initiative in your work, and thrive as part of a team.
• A full, valid UK driving licence is essential. An HGV licence would be an advantage or something you’re willing to work towards with our support.

What will you do as an LCV Technician?

As part of our dedicated Light Commercial Vehicle team, you will carry out high-quality servicing and repairs across a range of vehicles, including both electric (EV) and internal combustion engine (ICE) models. Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines
• Diagnosing faults accurately using the latest diagnostic equipment and technology
• Preparing vehicles for MOTs and conducting thorough safety inspections
• Working to high standards that meet or exceed both manufacturer and VOSA requirements
• Communicating effectively with the Shift Supervisor to ensure clarity on job specifications and timeframes
• Completing all required documentation and following company processes
