Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced LCV Technician in Sheffield to service, repair, and diagnose vans and light commercial vehicles. The role requires at least 4 years on vans and a Level 3 qualification, with a Full UK driving licence.

You will join a vehicle rental specialist offering a structured 5-stage training programme, joining bonus opportunities, and a pension scheme. Overtime is paid at enhanced rates with no weekend work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' experience working on vans or light commercial vehicles.
• Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent (NVQ, IMI or City & Guilds).
• Proof of Level 3 qualification must be available before interview.
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic and repair skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on vans and light commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Identify and repair hydraulic system faults where required.
• Complete vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Carry out warranty repairs in line with workshop procedures.
• Undertake MOT testing duties where qualified.
• Complete accurate repair records and maintain workshop standards.

Job description

We are recruiting for an experienced LCV Technician, Van Technician, Commercial Vehicle Technician or Vehicle Technician to join an established vehicle rental specialist in Sheffield. Applicants must have at least 4 years' experience working on vans or light commercial vehicles, hold a Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, provide proof of qualification before interview and possess a Full UK Driving Licence.

Location: Sheffield

Salary: Up to £36,730 Basic, OTE Up to 42,000

Bonus: Joining Bonus + Additional Bonus Opportunities

Overtime: Paid at 1.25x Basic Rate, Up to £20.77 Per Hour

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, 42.5 Hours Per Week – No Weekends

• Previous experience as an LCV Technician, Van Technician, Commercial Vehicle Technician or Vehicle Technician
• Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, awarded by NVQ, IMI or City & Guilds
• Proof of Level 3 qualification must be available before interview
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic and repair skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
