Job summary

NMS Recruit is seeking an LCV Technician to join an established workshop in Reading, working on vans and light commercial vehicles. You’ll carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs with manufacturer training to support your long-term career development.

Applicants should have a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle or Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, experience in diagnostics and repairs, and a thorough fault-finding approach. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle servicing, diagnostics and repairs.
• A thorough fault-finding approach and commitment to quality workmanship.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a workshop team.
• Full UK driving licence appropriate to the vehicles being driven.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance on vans and light commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Complete minor and major repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Identify worn or faulty components and report any additional work required.
• Carry out wheel alignment and tyre fitting as required.
• Complete job cards, service records and warranty documentation accurately using workshop systems.
• Work closely with the workshop and service teams to complete repairs within agreed timescales.
• Maintain a clean, organised workspace and follow health and safety procedures.

The Role

• Carry out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance on vans and light commercial vehicles.
