Job summary

NMS Recruit is seeking a qualified LCV Technician for Reading to service and repair vans, with ongoing manufacturer training and clear career development paths. You will conduct routine servicing and diagnostics, work within a busy workshop, and maintain accurate service records.

The role requires a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle or Vehicle Maintenance, experience in diagnostics and repairs, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dealership environment.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle or Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI).
• Experience in vehicle servicing, diagnostics and repairs.
• A methodical fault-finding approach and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and within a workshop team.
• Full UK driving licence appropriate to the vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, inspections and preventive maintenance on vans and light commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Complete minor and major repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Identify worn or faulty components and report additional work.
• Carry out wheel alignment and tyre fitting as required.
• Complete job cards, service records and warranty documentation accurately using workshop systems.
• Work closely with workshop and service teams to finish repairs within timescales.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow health and safety procedures.

Are you a qualified Vehicle Technician looking to develop your skills within a main dealership? NMS Recruit is seeking an LCV Technician to join an established workshop in Reading, working on vans and light commercial vehicles. This is an opportunity to build your technical knowledge through ongoing manufacturer training, with support for your long-term career development. You'll carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs, helping keep customers' vehicles safe, reliable and on the road.

The Role

• Carry out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance on vans and light commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Complete minor and major repairs to manufacturer standards.

What We’re Looking For
