The day-to-day responsibilities

• Working on rotating shifts at 40 hours a week

The challenges

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all vehicles and trailers to DVSA standards
• Diagnose and rectify faults
• Ensure cost-effective and safe repairs, working independently
• Handle vehicles carefully, adhering to safety precautions
• Follow all health and safety regulations and company processes
• Stay updated with DVSA and product developments
• Participate in training and contribute to continuous improvement
• Support and mentor apprentices
• Participate in site security
• Complete tasks as directed by supervisors

What you need to succeed

• City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in commercial vehicles
• Valid full driving license
• Your own tools; tool allowance provided
• Experience with all vehicle makes, electronics, and diagnostics
• Willingness to develop skills and assist others
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-motivated and proactive

Preferred experience

• Broad understanding of light commercial vehicles
• Experience using R2C
