Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a reliable LCV Driver to join our team in Fareham. You will operate light commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes, ensuring timely delivery and collection from customer sites while upholding safety and compliance.

You will inspect vehicles, load/unload securely, visit customer premises, and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. A Category B license (max 6 points) is required, with IT system familiarity and good numeracy and literacy skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of driving license category B – with no more than 6 points.
• Proactive approach to safety of company vehicles and other drivers.
• A polite manner at all times when visiting customer premises.
• Numeracy and literacy skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Geographical knowledge and LCV experience (desirable).
• Ability to use IT systems (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Operating light commercial vehicles of up to 3.5 tonnes for transportation of goods.
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load.
• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers.
• Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all times.
