Job summary

Enterprise Flex-E-Rent is seeking an experienced LCV Technician / Mechanic for our Teesside workshop. You’ll diagnose, repair and maintain a wide range of commercial vehicles, using diagnostic tools and collaborating with top manufacturers to ensure safety and quality.

The role emphasizes ownership of repairs, adherence to process, and a proactive approach in a busy, evolving workshop environment. UK work rights and a full UK licence are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent required.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills with modern vehicle tech.
• Full UK manual driving licence and clean driving history.
• Aged 21+ for insurance purposes.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain and repair a wide range of commercial vehicles.
• Perform mechanical, electrical and electronic fault finding.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults efficiently.
• Work with leading manufacturers (Mercedes, Iveco, Ford).
• Take ownership from diagnosis to completion of repairs.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Keep accurate records using workshop systems.
• Collaborate with team to maximise vehicle availability.
• Adapt to changing priorities across vehicle types.

What You'll Be Doing

• Diagnosing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of commercial vehicles
• Carrying out mechanical, electrical and electronic fault finding
• Using diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve vehicle faults efficiently
• Working with leading manufacturers including Mercedes, Iveco and Ford
• Taking ownership of repairs from diagnosis through to successful completion
• Preparing vehicles for MOT and ensuring all vehicles meet safety and quality standards
• Maintaining accurate records using digital systems and tools
• Collaborating with a skilled and friendly team to maximise vehicle availability
• Adapting to changing priorities and supporting the team across a variety of vehicle types and repair requirements.

What We’re Looking For

• Good organisation and time-management skills
• A proactive, detail-oriented approach and a passion for vehicle maintenance
• Experience with vehicle electrical systems and modern vehicle technology
• Experience preparing vehicles for MOT
• Experience working to productivity and efficiency targets
• Strong IT skills and confidence using workshop systems

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with experience working with HGVs, LCVs or commercial vehicle fleets
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills and experience using vehicle diagnostic equipment
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence
• Aged 21 and above for insurance purposes
• Full right to work in the UK
