Enterprise Flex-E-Rent in Peterborough is seeking an experienced Technician/Mechanic to diagnose, maintain and repair a range of commercial vehicles in our busy workshop.

You will take ownership of faults from diagnosis to completion, with a focus on quality, safety and continuous improvement. A £1500 joining bonus is available, plus overtime and a clear progression path to Master Technician.

Competenze

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• Experience with HGVs, LCVs or commercial fleets is required.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence is required.
• 21+ for insurance purposes.
• Must have right to work in the UK.

Mansioni

• £750 payable in first months’ pay and £750 payable after successful completion of 90-day probation review. Subject to tax and NI deductions, eligibility criteria will apply

Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing

• Diagnosing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of commercial vehicles
• Carrying out mechanical, electrical and electronic fault finding
• Using diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve vehicle faults efficiently
• Working with leading manufacturers including Mercedes, Iveco and Ford
• Taking ownership of repairs from diagnosis through to successful completion
• Preparing vehicles for MOT and ensuring all vehicles meet safety and quality standards
• Maintaining accurate records using digital systems and tools
• Collaborating with a skilled and friendly team to maximise vehicle availability
• Adapting to changing priorities and supporting the team across a variety of vehicle types and repair requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Good organisation and time-management skills
• A proactive, detail-oriented approach and a passion for vehicle maintenance
• Experience with vehicle electrical systems and modern vehicle technology
• Experience preparing vehicles for MOT
• Experience working to productivity and efficiency targets
• Strong IT skills and confidence using workshop systems

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with experience working with HGVs, LCVs or commercial vehicle fleets
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills and experience using vehicle diagnostic equipment
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence
• Aged 21 and above for insurance purposes
• Full right to work in the UK
