PCB Layout Engineer

A new position as a PCB Layout Engineer is now available at an innovative company specialisingin high-quality PCB design and development. Based in Bristol, this company works across a variety of industries, delivering cutting-edge computer vision solutions that meet both technical and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimisemulti-layer PCB layouts using Cadence Allegro PCB Designer.
• Interpret and implement schematics, mechanical outlines, and design constraints.
• Ensure designs meet industry standards (e.g., IPC standards) and customer-specific requirements.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers, production, and quality assurance teams.
• Troubleshoot layout-related issues during prototype and production stages.

The Ideal PCB Layout Engineer Will Have:

• Proven experience in PCB layout design, including high-speed, RF, or mixed-signal circuits.
• Proficiency in Cadence Allegro PCB Designer (Altium or others not accepted)
• Strong understanding of PCB fabrication and assembly processes.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as IPC-2221 and IPC-7351.
• Familiarity with signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal considerations.
