Job summary

Ideal candidates have poultry experience, strong organisational skills and the ability to supervise and train staff while maintaining hygiene and biosecurity across sites. Overtime and relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

• Experience in layer or commercial poultry environments is preferred.
• Good knowledge of poultry welfare and biosecurity.
• Experience supervising, supporting or training farm staff.
• Practical approach to farm maintenance and minor repairs.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Reliable, proactive approach and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations across 2–3 layer farms.
• Monitor flock health, bird welfare and egg production.
• Maintain high hygiene, cleanliness and biosecurity standards.
• Support and train farm staff as required.
• Ensure procedures and welfare standards are consistently followed.
• Monitor equipment and identify operational issues.
• Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance (fencing, farm facilities).
• Maintain accurate farm records and report concerns.
• Provide hands-on support to the wider farm operation.
