Job summary

Capsticks in London invites penultimate or final year law students, graduates or career changers to join a two-week Summer Vacation Scheme. You'll work with our legal teams, attend court or meet clients, and receive feedback from a dedicated supervisor.

The scheme runs 21 June to 2 July 2027 across London, Birmingham and Leeds, with a clear path to a future training contract from September 2028 or beyond, depending on performance and business needs.

Qualifications

• Penultimate or final year law students, final year non-law students, graduates or those considering a career change into law.
• On course for or have achieved at least a 2:1 in their undergraduate degree.
• Have achieved BBB at A-Level or 120 UCAS points in an equivalent course.
• Are well-rounded, highly driven team players, who can demonstrate their commitment to a career in our specialist sectors.
• Demonstrate skills in creative problem solving, attention to detail, written and verbal communication, prioritisation, and time management, with a technical solution focus.

Responsibilities

• During placement, support real work in one of our legal teams, contributing to a variety of tasks and the possibility to attend court or meet with clients.
• You'll be supported by a dedicated supervisor and receive feedback on your performance.
• The scheme includes training and development activities, networking opportunities, and insight sessions from our legal divisions.
