Job summary

GSL Education Hull Branch are currently searching for a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work within schools across Scarborough. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a relevant Level 2 qualification and a genuine passion for supporting pupils in a positive and inclusive learning environment.

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and wider school staff to support pupils with their learning, engagement, and personal development.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils across a range of learning activities.
• Assist teachers with preparing and delivering classroom activities and learning resources.
• Support pupils with their academic, social, emotional, and communication needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, independence, and engagement with learning.
• Help monitor pupils’ progress and provide appropriate feedback to teaching staff.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.

To Work with GSL Education, You Must:

• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Have an up-to-date CV with at least 2 professional references covering the last 2 years.
• Have recent experience working with children or young people.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
